The CFD Laboratory has recently acquired some medium-sized clusters via NSERC-RTI equipment grants. The clusters have been named Tintin and Haddock after Hergé’s adventurous heroes, and are located in McGill’s Burnside Hall datacenter.

The CFD Laboratory is at the origin of the CLUMEQ Consortium (Consortium Laval, Université du Québec, McGill et l’est du Québec) now called Calcul Quebec and has acted as P.I. on behalf of McGill, receiving a total investment of 45.5 Million $ from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation. CFD Lab students thus have access to a dazzling array of supercomputers, through Compute Canada / Calcul Quebec.
